🌊 Who's Really Washing Away Dialogue?
I agreed to clean some of the chalk as a show of good faith, and to prove a point — that being targeted with $10,000 in fees/fines, and having my voice routinely silenced — over mostly painters tape and chalk, is nothing short of chilling.
This not only demonstrated how easy it is to clean chalk—leaving no damage or trace—but also underscored that I’m even better at washing sidewalks than the HOA—with a cost savings of over $10,000.
In response to what seem to be community feedback like (“Who’s going to wash the chalk?” and “This needs to stop”), I made a point of selectively erasing sidewalk chalk myself using a RinseKit in “flat” mode, and a simple wagon.

And get this — After complaints to 311 failed to trigger chalk cleanups, someone used “artist” charcoal to perform actual vandalism, which could arguably trigger 311 cleanup. Except I don’t think 311 tests chalk!

Ironically when random street artists tag the building with spray-paint, we don’t seem to flinch. Meanwhile I seem to be routinely subjected to violent confrontations meant to intimidate me into silence, smear campaigns, and emotional distress. All over calcium carbonate (easily washable sidewalk chalk).
